Description: MR. PEANUT COCKTAIL MARTINI GLASSES - 1950s Planters Nut & Chocolate Co. Each 3" diameter x 5". Translucent red, blue, & clear molded plastic. We offer two well designed cocktail glasses, each featuring a 3" tall Mr. Peanut figural in the stem area. The color scheme denotes a patriotic flavor, & each Mr. Peanut has his name on hatband. This is one of the more uncommon Planters plastic mail premiums, being that the Mr. Peanut stem area is thin plastic and easily broken. That is not the case here. There are no plastic breaks. Notably, one glass still has the scarce WASHING INSTRUCTION RING still attached at stem base. It reads "Washable in hot water. DO NOT BOIL". Both glasses are scarce Planters mail premiums with excellent eye appeal. YOU ARE BUYING BOTH FOR ONE MONEY. Condition of GLASSES is considered VERY GOOD with minimal surface/scuff/edge wear. Moderate glue residue on upper hat area of Mr. P figural (as made). No chips, breaks, or cracks. Colors are still bold, bright, & very attractive. Condition of WASHING INSTRUCTION RING is considered FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Misc. surface creasing & bowing with scattered edge chipping & paper deterioration. Overall, very nice displayable examples by most standards (see photos). This fragile PLANTERS MR. PEANUT grouping would make an impressive addition to any VINTAGE ADVERTISING collection.
