1948 "Key to the White House" Thomas E. Dewey for President Pocketknife Keychain

Description: 1948 pocketknife & keychain.Picture #1 - "Key to the White House"Picture #2 - "Thomas E. Dewey for President" The base of blade the is marked "Camco USA" on one side. I determined this is from the 1948 election because that is the year Camco opened for business. The blade opens completely (and locks in place) but with some difficulty. A drop of oil or WD40 might help. It must be rare and hard-to-find because I cannot find any information or photos of a similar example online. It may be documented in a collectables book. It is about 2 1/8" long x 7/8" wide x 3/16" thick. It is in very good condition. There is no damage. There is some light corrosion and staining on the blade (see pictures #3 & #4). The four rivets are tight and hold both sides securely together. The blade and point are sharp and appear to be unused. There is some light surface patina commensurate with age (see photos). Both red captions are strong and completely legible. This piece is a great piece of presidential campaign history that displays very well. Regarding combined shipping. In most cases, several pieces can be shipped in a single box. When this occurs, I will credit the purchaser's account any shipping difference. In-other-words, I charge exact shipping for same time multiple purchases. I cannot issue these credits until I've purchased the postage so it may take a day or two. I do this often.
