Superior eye appeal and technical quality for the grade and price. Maximum mintage 60,000 based on contemporary die life. Thus, the true key to the set (sorry, 1921-D). Many tallied in the population reports are resubmissions or crossovers of the same coins. Not heavily publicized until the 1990's, so many unattributed specimens were melted during prior silver booms. DDR-1, the "Big One" not to be confused with the very minor DDR-2 and DDR-3. TRADE SECRET: Easily MS67 by third-tier slab and raw standards even without the usual doctoring.
