Description: NOTE: Top 1% eye appeal. The posted images do not do justice. Conservatively graded. Insanely undervalued major Doubled Die, the only Walker variety listed in all major price guides, even the Coin Dealer Newsletter (Greysheet). π΅ CMQ = David Hall's version of a CAC sticker, which thus denotes superior eye appeal and technical quality. Hall is PCGS's founder and the greatest grading expert and coin dealer of all time. Both he and Greg Roberts, another superstar numismatist, must agree on any coin's CMQ approval. Billion-dollar companies make a buy/sell market in CMQ coins. CMQ places far more emphasis on eye appeal than CAC does. Picky CMQ approves merely a small minority of coins examined. π΄ 90% BUYBACK GUARANTEE: Within three years from payment, we will repurchase this choice coin for at least 90% of the purchase price, less Ebay fees, postage, and sales tax (if any). Coin and holder must be undamaged. Original buyer only. CMQ sticker must still be affixed. π΄ GUARANTEED LOWEST PRICE: We will beat any other Ebayer's price by 25% of the difference. Compared coins must be identically certified, aesthetically similar, and in stock. Valid at time of purchase only. Also applies to most of our other certified items. Brilliant, shimmering luster, well struck, few and light marks for MS61, non-doctored, earlier die state (distinct doubling at BUS of PLURIBUS). Superior eye appeal and technical quality for the grade and price. Maximum mintage 60,000 based on contemporary die life. Thus, the true key to the set (sorry, 1921-D). Many tallied in the population reports are resubmissions or crossovers of the same coins. Not heavily publicized until the 1990's, so many unattributed specimens were melted during prior silver booms. DDR-1, the "Big One" not to be confused with the very minor DDR-2 and DDR-3. TRADE SECRET: Easily MS67 by third-tier slab and raw standards even without the usual doctoring. Stick with NGC and PCGS, and ignore excuses from third-tier coin sellers (ask them if they will buy back for 90% less seller's fees as we will for this conservatively graded coin. Or even 10%). At one point, our firm had submitted the majority of specimens listed in the PCGS Population Report. Compared to the supposed key to the set, the 1921-D, this dramatic DDR has a much lower total population. Many PCGS MS61 Walkers are really AU58. But this lovely MS61 is magnificent for the grade and could easily regrade MS62. Our loss is your gain.
