The fact that the box says 1946 and early 1947 makes me think this was actually manufactured in early late '46 or early '47. You know more about your car than I do. Please make sure this add on accessory will be correct for your hood ornament before purchasing. The instructions say you have to remove the original hood ornament from your car, remove the original "6" or "8" badge. Install the badge on this accessory bomb site. Then bolt this accessory onto the original hood ornament. This is in excellent condition. It has the normal manufacturing variations, but no aging. It's really nice. This is the only one I have.
