It was intended to provide hobbyists with a continuation of the popular Play Ball series begun in 1939 and discontinued after 1941 due to the onset of World War II. This card is featured in the style and format of Gum, Incorporated's highly desired 1940 Play Ball series. Bucky Walters was a six-time All-Star who won 198 major league games.
