Description: Up for auction is a 1943 LINCOLN cents -- UNCIRCULATED and minted in Philadelphia. The "LINCOLN, WHEAT EARS" design was done by VICTOR D. BRENNER to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. A limited quantity have the designer's initials (V. D. B.) on the reverse of the 1909. First type to have the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. The initials were restored, in 1918, on the reverse side on Lincoln's shoulder. Minted from 1909-1958. Due to a copper shortage during the critical war year 1943, Treasury used zinc-coated steel to make the cent. Please look at the pictures provided. The winning bidder will receive the Lincoln cent as shown in the pictures. If you would like some additional pictures, please let us know. U.S. shipping is $1.00 EBAY STANDARD for items up to $20.
