The pin closures work as they should. The pins are very SMALL. The larger one measures 3/8" x 1/4" and the smaller 1942 pin is 1/4 inch tall and long. The total weight is 1 gram. Neither are marked with a number and a "K" so it may not be real gold. Similar high school pins of this era were commonly real gold. The two pins do NOT stick to a magnet, but the chain does. They have NOT been recently cleaned. There are no markings so I do not know the maker. Customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
