Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls, and is regarded as one if the finest artists in his genre. Vargas dropped the "s" from his surname when he began working for Esquire magazine in 1939. "This Way to the Beach" is approximately 10 5/16" x 14" and is in very good condition.
