1940s vintage ORIGAMI TULLE & SEQUIN Full Skirt BALLGOWN FORMAL DRESS

Description: Romantic 1940s vintage sleeveless evening gown / formal dress created of a floaty layers of a sheer pale grayish blue coloured tulle / net overtop a lightweight satiny lining. The gown features thin straps (there is extra length in the straps to adjust to the individual wearer), a fitted bodice - complete with supportive boning - with a straight bustline, side metal zipper opening and a nipped waist. The floorlength skirt is a floaty A-line cut. The workmanship on this gown is exceptional. Circling the bodice & the upper skirt are intricately folded/pleated/origami zigzags of sheer tulle dotted with iridescent sequins. Such a beautiful gown! MEASUREMENTS: No size labels ... Bust measures 34 inches (therefore fits a size 32 bust best), waist measures 26 inches and the hips are free. Always remember to leave room for you - there is no stretch to the fabric. The dress - measured from the bustline to the hem because the length of the straps can be adjustable - is 52 inches in length. CONDITION: Very slight wear .... the dress still has a drycleaning tag attached from the last time it was drycleaned and put into storage (my guess is that was 75 years ago). There is slight surface dirt from decades in storage - underarms are clean, no staining and wearable as is. Fresh drycleaning would be a bonus but that is up to the lucky new owner.
