Description: Here's a very cool old Kennedy Machinist tool chest which is believed to be from the 1940’s. The brown crinkle coat paint is weathered and worn handsomely and there’s some paint loss, dents/dings and corrosion in places. This box had been beaten, was filthy and worn beyond what most of these machinist chests usually see-but I had to give it a new purpose. Well-I had to get it started on the path of finding a new purpose hopefully in someone else’s care. That included numerous repairs to bring it back up to snuff but the biggest was just cleaning and removing all the stained felt and re-lining the whole box again with fresh green felt just like it would have looked like (internally) when new. Such a task takes many hours, but I think you’ll see it was worth it. There is no key for the main hasp/lock but there are some online retailers who can cut a key for the KY54 lock code. The front cover fits very tightly when put in place as well. Thanks for looking-please see my other items. The toolchest as pictured weighs just under 29lbs. Dimensions: 20-1/8” (wide) x8-1/2" (deep) X 13-1/8" (tall) [approximate measurements] Pricing quoted includes shipping only in the lower 48 states via UPS Ground. if you’re overseas from me-send me an address and I’ll try ti figure out shipping costs-but it’s best if you locate a US-based exporter to purchase through. If you are interested in this chest and feel my price is fair--buy it!!! Otherwise--make me an offer and the worst I can say is "no" or counter your offer.. I have others available as well, some listed and some not.. Please my other listings. Thank you John
