Description: This glass pineapple shaped table lamp was on my Grandmother’s end table my entire life. From the 1940’s, and I believe probably postwar, it is painted with beige greenery on top and bottom, and the pineapple is a gold color much like lusterware. I am not saying it is lusterware paint, though. The very bottom of the base of the lamp is painted gold to appear to be metal. There are two little rubbed divots in the lamp, which do appear in a photo, that indicates that it sat in the same place for a very long time and was rubbed in those places. The lamp can be turned so these are not noticeable, although they are very small. The lamp measures 31” from bottom to top of the original finial. The lamp has a portion of the Underwriters Laboratories Inspection sticker inside the base. The lamp does not come with a shade, and the metal portion that does hold the shade is bent/ broken at the very top of the glass lamp. This will require the lamp to be rewired. Because the portion that holds the lightbulb is shiny and doesn’t appear to be as old, it is possible that my Grandma had the lamp rewired at some point. I do not know. Please look carefully at photos.
