Description: This beautiful old light was manufactured by Benjamin. The embossing on the top is outstanding, among Benjamins most creative lights. The glass and the cage are excellent condition. The 9" diameter main body has been taken down to bare metal and refinished in high-temp paint. The socket is the original standard medium base size and is in perfect order and also looks great!. Along with new high-temperature wires and gaskets, a good solid ground has been provided for safety. Put a smile on your electricians face and pass your inspections!The widest part of the light is 9" in diameter. From the bottom of the globe to the ceiling is 22" with the 8" pipe. The original Benjamin cushioned hanger allows for movement of the light if bumped along with dampening of vibrations to encourage longer bulb life. It will also allow the light to hang plumb from a ceiling that is not level. No expense was spared during the restoration of these amazing vintage lights. I tend to each and every one as if I was restoring it for public exhibition...I'm extremely proud of my work. Light will be shipped in pieces to insure safe arrival; re-assembly is EASILY accomplished by purchaser. These guys are relatively heavy. The buyer will contribute $24 towards the shipping cost of the light. They take a larger box because the globes are big and somewhat fragile. I suggest that all electrical items be checked and installed by a professional electrician.Always buying nice collections of lights or those dirty old barn lights that were removed decades ago now residing in the attic.
