Description: Vintage horse racing press photo of Stagehand after winning the 1938 Santa Anita Handicap over the mighty Seabiscuit. This is an original press photo with the International News Photo stamp on the back and also includes a vintage wooden frame with a brass nameplate. The original cardboard backing has been removed from the frame to view the back of the photo to ensure it was an authentic photo from the time period. It would be very easy to cut out a piece of cardboard and insert in the frame if you wanted to display this (the frame has small nails in several spots around the border that can be bent to secure a cardboard backing). The photo is kind of an odd size at about 6.5"x8.25" and the frame is slightly larger. The frame has some wear and loss of red paint due to its age. Please review the photos and use the magnify feature to review the condition.
