Excellent condition My grandfather purchased in 1935 and used it as a paperweight on his desk. 2.75 inches I beleive it has never been polished Silver Plated Bronze Medallion. Medallion is stamped with "MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y." & "SOCIETY OF MEDALISTS Measures approx. 2.75 inches in diameter Weighs 277.7 grams and is made of silver plated bronze. Medal (Obverse) for The Society of Medalists designed by Anthony (Antonio) de Francisci. 1935 De Francisci served as an Academician of the National Academy of Design and a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society. Famous for designing Peace Dollar in 1921, the Commission of Fine Arts selected De Francisci to design of a new silver dollar.
