Monte Weaver, lanky right hander of the Washington Americans, who started on the hill against Carl Hubbell in the fourth contest of the World's Series at Washington today. Montie Morton Weaver was a Major League Baseball player who played as a pitcher from 1931 to 1939. Weaver was born June 15, 1906, in Helton, North Carolina. A 1927 graduate of Emory and Henry College, Weaver went on to earn a master’s degree and teach mathematics at the University of Virginia. Photo is Dated: October 6, 1933.
