Description: 1930s MAPPIN VERTEX ALLPROOF Steel Wristwatch Vintage Vertex Allproof - a rare one retailed by Mappin. Contracid steel faceted case, original big crown, blued steel whip and spade hands, coppery coloured raised indices, original dial. The crystal was changed a few years ago and the watch repairer has tightened the caseback to such an extent I can't unscrew it to show the Revue 15 jewel movement. As I remember, there is NO dust cover. The watch works (runs, winds, sets) but I haven't had it serviced over the years I've owned it so a service is recommended at some point. Dimensions: 16mm lugs, lug to lug approx 39mm, width 28mm excluding crown. Delivery will be sent tracked.
