At his bedside, when he died, were his wife, the former Gertrude Vanderbilt, and their three children, Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, Mrs. G. McCullough Miller, and Mrs. Barklie McKee Henry. Mr. Whitney served as vice president of the Saratoga Association for the Improvement of the Breed of Horses and a director of the Westchester Racing Association. Photo measures 6 x 8 inches.
