1928 ELGIN Pocket Watch Supreme Watch IWC Illinois Watch CSW 15J Wants To Work

Description: Absolutely stunning vintage/antique watch. Glass face with a bronzy gold colored faceplate. Near the top it says Elgin Central. The second hand is separate from the minute an hour hands. The silverish colored case I believe to be nickel. The snapback opens to display some information including that it is a supreme IWC company watch case the case has a serial number of 9114825. Inside there is a bunch of fine engraving or markings from probably different service dates throughout its life. On the movement is stamped Elgin national watch company USA 15 joules. The serial number on the movement is 304 123884 Everything appears to be in very good condition other than a minor dent in the back of the case next to where it says CSW inside of a triangle. There is a light vertical engraving on the back for a design. Around the edges of the case it is polished and look like it has joules in it however it does not. ******The watch is not currently running consistently. If you lightly shake it the gears move for a few seconds and then stop. I know nothing about pocket watches as far as repairing them. Not sure if maybe this just needs a little cleaning or a little oil. However I do not feel comfortable attempting either of these as I do not want to damage it.
