Description: 1920s PROHIBITION ERA Newspaper Clippings SCRAPBOOK, REV GEORGE WOOD ANDERSON Rev. George Wood Anderson was a traveling preacher who spoke at many revivals. This scrapbook entirely consists of long & detailed newspaper synopses of his sermons. Most of what I could see does not pertain to Prohibition, but at least some does. In the best one that one that I found in this regard, GWA laments "jazz babies" and "lounge lizards" while complaining about their "freak dress." 62 pages with clippings glued on, so that's a pretty significant amount of text. Nearly 100 years old, so the newspaper has yellowed & discolored the notebook paper. Many of the notebook pages have pulled loose. Please look carefully at the photos
