We offer two original side show souvenirs featuring famous circus "giants" - (#1) George Auger - 'The Cardiff Giant' or 'The Welsh Giant' was billed as 'The Tallest Man in the World'. Auger made it to America in 1903 and appeared as part of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. George died suddenly in 1922, just before he was to star alongside Harold Lloyd as the giant Colosso in the film "Why Worry?". (#2) Jack Earle - Jack Earle, was a silent film actor and sideshow performer. For 14 years, he traveled with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus until the late 1930s or early 1940s, then became a salesman. He was then billed as "The World's Tallest Travelling Salesman". As a grouping, these unusual rings would make an impressive circus display. YOU ARE BUYING THE PAIR FOR ONE MONEY. Condition on both is considered GOOD with mild surface/stain/edge wear. No breaks or chips. Metal patina / imagery are still bold & attractive. Overall, we feel these original circus artifacts are very displayable examples by most standards (see photos).
