Description: Stloubrown’s Bygone Days "Let Bygones Be Back" Antique program and ticket for a 1919 revue at the famous L'Olympia in Paris. L'Olympia, still today a landmark of Paris nightlife, was built in 1893 by one of the creators of the similarly legendary Moulin Rouge and featured countless opera, ballet and theater performances. As live theater declined in the late 1920s, it was converted to a cinema before it was returned to a live performance venue in 1954 and, after being spared an appointment with the wrecking ball in the 1990s, now is popular locale for rock band performances. The show in 1919 memorialized by this program and ticket was attended by my grandfather, who was stationed in Paris at the time with the U.S. Army for a year before and after the Armistice.
