Description: HERE IS A 1912 DANCE CARD FOR AN INFORMAL DANCE HELD AT THE PALESTINE LODGE 357 F.&A.M. LOCATED IN DETROIT. MICHIGAN. THIS IS THE MASONIC LODGE HENRY FORD WAS INITIATED INTO IN 1894. WAS HE THERE THAT NIGHT? DON'T KNOW HE COULD HAVE BEEN ON THE FLOOR. INSIDE IS A LIST OF THE DANCES IN ORDER OF THE PERFORMANCE. AT THE BOTTOM IT STATES THAT THE BOHEMIA NATIONAL DANCE "BESEDA" WILL BE PERFORMED BY FOUR COUPLES IN NATIVE COSTUMES. ON THE BACK IS A LIST OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS WHO ORGANIZED THE EVENT. THE FRONT HAS A CREASE RUNNING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. ALSO ON THE BACK ARE A FEW SPOTS OF RESIDUE FROM A SCRAP BOOK. CLOSED IT MEASURES 3 1/4" X5" AND HAS THE STRING ATTACHED BUT THE PENCIL IS MISSING. HAS SOME SEPARATION AT THE BOTTOM ALONG THE SEAM FROM THE STRING CUTTING INTO THE PAPER.
