Description: This PHONOLA tabletop record player is from an estate reduction sale and started off being an enigma. The eighty-year-old at the sale said this player belonged to her father and it was his pride and joy. The 1910 date was an estimate by lady at estate. Even though It has PHONOLA trademark on record holder flap it has no model plate or place where one was ever mounted. Research failed to come up with this particular model or anything coming close. It has a side crank and bright metal speaker grill inside rear. As can be seen in photos this player has been well taken care of. This player is very solid, has had a couple repairs made to case cover material Unlike many of these old players there was no mold anywhere. A little TLC clean on some of the metal parts would make it look even better. Two companies made these units that are extremely close in looks. They were Pollock Manufacturing Company Berlin, Canada and Conley Camera Company (Waters Conley PHONOLA). This player measures 16 1/2" wide X 16" high w/handle X 7" deep and weighs 15 lb. 4 oz. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.
