It's typical for the barber coins to wear more on the reverse than the obverse. The nice reverse on this coin makes it an above average coin. It's very hard to find nice original looking barber coins. This coin has that great looking toning contrast in the colors that makes nice original barber coins look so great. Low Mintage of 954,000. THE BAD NEWS: Not really bad but for accuracy I will point out a couple light scratches on the reverse rim at 4 o'clock and a couple on the center of the obverse that do not show well in the picture. Sometimes things like this can be expected because these coins were used as real money long ago. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade.
