Lacking a single page which appears to have been torn out; pages 113/114, showing the Residence of F. A. Whitney and of Whitney Lake. Original publisher cloth binding shows moderate wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and fraying to the spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Internally, this volume is not without issue. The binding is quite shaken, and feels very loose. With that said, both boards and all page groupings do remain attached to the binding. One of the rear fly pages is damaged and partially detached from the binding. Otherwise this volume is sound and free from signatures, inscriptions, bookplates and library markings. The text block of this volume is quite clean considering the wear to the binding. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some foxing and soiling throughout, and some minor wear in the margins slight edge tears and corner creasing. Again, pages 113/114 are lacking. Remains perfectly readable otherwise! Profusely illustrated.
