Description: We have FOR SALE a BEAUTIFUL pair of DAVID WEBB Curved Nail Design Hoop Earrings in a RICH 18K Gold - simply a GORGEOUS DESIGN! This pair of High Quality David Webb New York 18K Gold, Vintage Clip-on Earrings came from a local Tulsa Oil Family Estate and were a treasured set. This pair of earrings are now however "Mis-Matched" and we were told that at some point one earring of the original pair was lost years ago and remade/replaced by the David Webb company to match as closely as possible. The two earrings are VERY CLOSE, but they are not an exact match at all. The newer one (on the right side in our first few pictures) has a gold "pad" added to the design that the flip latch closes on. That earring weighs 18 grams and the 2nd earring weighs 17.5 grams - totaling 35.5 grams of 18K Gold for the pair. The earring with the "pad" is also a much lighter textured finish and the 2nd earring has a much heavier hammered design for the finish - the slight differences are visible in our pictures. We feel like the newer earring was polished much more, resulting in the lighter "texture" to the finish. Also, the two latches that flip up to hold the earrings are a slightly different design - differences in the style used at different times by the David Webb Company. Both of the earrings are approximately the same size. They are each about 1,7/8" long, 13mm wide across the larger portion of the head and are 3mm wide where the latches are attached to the end. They have the flip-up latch that secures the earrings to the ear and are both clearly marked "18K WEBB" on the latches. The newer earring with the pad also has possilby a "Copyright" or some type of symbol also on the latch.
