Description: Vividly toned surfaces exhibit golden-apricot and powder blue undertones to dominant steel-olive patina on the obverse. The more explosive reverse is target-toned in intense antique gold, cobalt blue and reddish-orange iridescence. Strong reflectivity in the fields that forms a splendid backdrop to frosty, smartly impressed design elements. There is a small artifact above the loop of the 6 in the date. PCGS calls this variety a so-called over-date however the variety is not recognized by NGC. This is one of the very finest certified Cameo proofs of 1869. Coin will be sent registered post.
