Description: First edition in book form. Rebound in black calf cloth-covered boards, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering on red morocco label. Externally, rubbed to joints and extremities, wear and bumping to corners with small loss to top corners of boards. Small loss at head of spine. Tan endpapers with bookplate of solicitor and amateur geologist and archaeologist, John Wickham Flower (1807-1873), to front pastedown. Pages lightly age-toned else generally clean throughout, just occasional minor blemishes. A few early leaves sitting slightly proud at fore-edge. Please view images carefully to confirm condition.
