Description: Welcome to The Textile Trunk , please follow us on Instagram we are @textiletrunk ~ This lovely aged floral fabric is an antique French cotton dating c 1860! ~ it's in my Take it and Make it store category as there are flaws, making ideal for creative hands! See photos and the condition description below for details. This textile once would have hung from a ciel de lit and it would have adorned a bed ~ It was resist dyed ~ the ground of blue was applied and then blocks of a bleaching agent were used to create whitespace on which the pattern in grays were printed! It's a really fabulous technique resulting in beautiful fabric! This texitle uses a really wonderful printed fabric with flowers and cameos! ~ I wish I knew whos face was on the pattern! ~I'm so curious!! This texitle is ideal for creative hands as there are large tears, holes, warm patina thinning areas, some staining etc!!!! I decided not to cut it into usable pieces as the beauty for me, is in the complete piece! when I hung it , it was just too fabulous to cut up! ~ It would give any interior that wonderful authentic timetouched feel!!! It's light to medium weight cotton ~~ there is a tremedous amount of usable fabric for smaller projects! ~*~ there is a nice DEEP hem at the bottom with more fabric waiting to be used ~ MEASUREMENTS: This lovely texitle measures approximately : 81 inches wide at the bottom , 100 inches long and 63 inches wide approximately at the top ~ CONDITION: I have left this fabric in as found, unwashed condition and it's best left that way unless you cut a piece and then hand wash gently ~ There are many flaws on this texitle ~ please use the zoom feature to view it exactly for what it is, a perfect textile it is not! ~ but gorgeous ~*~ all of the condition problems are reflected in the price , it's about a third of the price it would be if in good condition ~*~ inv #: ETM HM67
