Henderson of Philadelphia and dated 1855 on the title page. Part of its “The Child’s Library Series”. It measures 4 1/4” by 6 ½” tall. Heavily decorated front and rear cover are significantly soiled (there is a waxy feel to the material that was used to cover it, almost like oil-cloth), but still show the beauty of the gold, blue, red and green decorations and lettering. All pages are at least somewhat tined and some scattered foxing throughout. No markings and without damage. Truly a nice addition to any collector of fine illustrated antiquarian children’s books
