Description: A beautifully refurbished Wheatstone 48 key, treble English concertina #3454 made in London, England on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1852…as indicated by the original factory ledgers of production and sales of Charles Wheatstone & Co. concertinas. (See attachments below)I purchased this concertina in 1989 from Stephen Chambers in London; and he had acquired it from Steve Dickinson (present day owner of Wheatstone & Co.) who had done work on it to return it to good working order. It has ebony ends and brass reeds which give it a sweet, rich tone (please listen to attached recordings). In 1997 I took it to Colin & Rosalie Dipper (in Wiltshire, England), and left it with them for a complete refurbished overhaul. (See details below). Although I play this concertina a few times a year, I never intended it to be my main squeezebox, but more a prized collectible. Price: $5,000 with free shipping inside USA/Canada. Please ask any questions and thanks for looking!
