Description: Here's an early ceramic mustard pot from the mid 1800s with its original pewter lid....Brown ceramic or porcelain body with white mocha type chain with beads decoration around it....applied ear handle....hollow footed base...2 1/2"tall (3 1/4"to finial on lid).....original pewter collar anchored around rim with hinged pewter lid that has a cornucopia finial....small notched hole on edge for small mustard spoon (which is missing)......Excellent shiny nice condition with only one tiny shallow flake on very bottom; no other damage. A nice clean early mustard pot made in the 1850s or so ....
