Description: 1847 WH Rogers Brothers silver plate. Five dinner forks. Two tablespoons. The flatware is marked Quintruple Plated with the XQ mark. This designates that it has five times the silver plate of a normal plated item, according to the standards of the time. This pattern was introduced in 1906, and the XQ mark was not used by the company after 1918, so this is Pre-WWI manufacture. Each piece has a small "S" monogram in a fluid script, so it is not as "shocking" as some heavily engraved, blocky monograms. Very subtle, and looks natural with the design of the flatware. Condition is very good. They have not been polished. I prefer to let the customer do that so it will match the level of polish of your existing flatware. See photos for exact sizes of the pieces.
