All plates present: volume 1 has one full page plate, volume 2 has 11 full page plates and one fold-out plate, and there are many b & w text illustrations also. Both volumes are in very good condition but for some ink staining. Vol 1 has a half-circle stain affecting 180 pages in the top margin only. Vol 2 has smaller splatters affecting most of the fore edge and very little into the margin. Pages foxed in both volumes, and both have contemporary previous owner names and bookseller labels. (B3A)
