This 182-year-old book measures 7x4.5 and is 288 pages long. The front leather board has separated from the binding and the back leather cover is holding by a thread. This book belonged to the Exeter Female Academy and has two former owner’s signatures are on the free front end page of Martha A. Billings and Victoria E. Cilley, both of Nottingham, New Hampshire. Martha was born in 1830 and never married. She worked as a tailoress. Victoria was born 9/24/1831 and married Thomas Bartlett and had six children. She died in 1905.
