Description: Original 1831 set of 4 (out of 6) volumes of the British periodical, "The Spectator." The books are overall in good- condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have moderate scuffing and wear with loss to some of the labels and some small sections of leather. There is some partial to cracking to some of the leather joints; however, the bindings are still good and sound. The interiors are lightly toned from age with scattered light foxing. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a creased page corner, minor interior crack, light bit of soiling or grubbiness, etc. The books are fairly small volumes which measure approximately 5 7/8 inches by 3 3/4 inches. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
