Description: Very Rare Brown Transfer Soup Tureen, Crossing The Alps, 1830’s Napoleon's Battles CJM & CO Stone China The dinner service on which these Patterns are found was Probably pro- duced in the late 1830’s and into the 1840’s. Pieces are various marked Napoleon's Battles" with the C.J.M & Co. maker's mark: The Crossing of the Alps Soup tureen with lid. Measures 7 1/4 from handle to handle, 3 1/2” wide, 6 1/2” tall with lid. This soup tureen comes with the lid, lid looks original, but lots whiter, I do not know if it had set in bleach or just well wrapped for many years, I thought at first it was not a match because its whiteness, but then after careful observation I see the designs are exact match. it has no chips or cracks, it looks like a crack inside but I think it is just from aging, it is at least 188 years old. The lid look to have some wear on the tips, look to be like many years of wear, so please judge by the pictures you own opinions before purchase and ask any question I may help with. Will be shipped priority with insurance.
