Description: Here's a scarce little 4 ounce size early American 3 pc mold blown pontiled flint glass decanter from the 1810-1830 era with its original hollow blown 3 mold stopper. This early New England flint glass decanter was most likely made at either the Keene Marlboro St Glassworks or the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. It is listed as McKearin GII-18 in "American Glass". This sparkling mint decanter has diamond quilted pattern with ribbed base and shoulder...applied double rings around neck ...... Hand blown in 3 piece mold....pontil scar on sunken sunburst bottom....crude thin flared ring lip....clear flint glass with hint of gray or moonstone....6 1/2"tall (8"counting stopper)...It holds exactly 14 ounces so is a little less than a pint.....Decanter is sparkling attic mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind.The hollow blown 3 mold glass stopper has matching diamond hobnail pattern and is also perfect. Sparkling clean with no haze....This wonderful early blown decanter came from an old New England collection originally, and has been in our own personal collection for years...
