Description: PCGS authenticated and graded AU 50. Glossy mix of medium brown and chocolate with frosty lighter brown and tan in protected areas on the reverse. The only notable marks are a faint curved scratch under star 2 and a collection of tiny scratches under CA in AMERICA. Nicely struck MDS with a strong die crack through stars 12 & 13, the base of the date, and on to the dentils under the left point of star 1. Another crack connects stars 1-3 and there is a radial crack extending down from the earlier crack to the dentils under star 1. CC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #38646.Smooth and quite attractive, a very nice example of a tough die variety.
