This volume XXIII contains George Forster's Travels in the Northern Part of India, Kashmire, Afghanistan, and Persia and into Russia by the Caspian Sea; and A Journey from Madras through the Countries of Mysore, Canara, and Malabar by Francis Buchanan. There is a fold-out map at the start of the book of Hindoostan.Rebound in quarter dark brown leather on teal cloth hardboards. Maroon leather title block with gilt lettering to the spine. Red marbled endpapers. Pages very clean, just darkened to edge of map. 378 pages. 17 x 10 cm.
