Description: I purchased 11 quilts from a collector's estate. (I believe they are all 1800s.) One of the collections was dated 1840, and another signed one has the maker born in 1853. They all appear to be similar to those. The quilt is red (faded), green, and orange flowers. The border is orange and green flowers and the body is red flowers. All hand pieced and quilted. This has been laundered, however, the backing has discoloration and what appears to be a water mark. This does show somewhat on the front. This handmade quilt is in good/fair condition. It would make a perfect housewarming gift, collector's gift, etc. The size is 82 x 82", overall good condition for the age. Freshly laundered, weight 5 lbs
