Description: This is a rare set of 18 volumes of Abate Raynal's "Storia Filosofica e Politica" published in 1776-1777 by the Royal Society of London and Academy of Science Berlin. The hardcover books are bound in Italian language and contain a rich history of Europe. The books are in their original form and were printed in Italy. This set is a must-have for collectors and history enthusiasts. This is an incredible collection from 1776 and 1777 which contains 18 volumes. Volume one and 10 of the 20 volume set are missing. The books cover commerce with Europe, Africa, Asia, India it is an incredible collection. From what I can tell it also covers conflicts and history within different parts of the world from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Four of the books contain large maps at the end of the book, the map of Bengal is 21“ x 14 1/2“ and the other three maps are large as well. I have included a book next to each map for scale I will show them in the pictures. An 18 century set with all original covers beautifully embossed, and in excellent condition are not found too often. This will make a beautiful addition to any library. The book measures 7 1/2“ x 5“ all of the books have foxing, but there is no writing on the lining book plates, library stamps, or anything like that in the books. look at the pictures I’ve given you a good sample of the pages. Most of the pages do not have foxing. Most of the foxing is in the first couple of pages on the blanks introduction page and the last pager two of each book. Some of the books have foxing throughout, but as I said, most of the pages do not have foxing. Look at the pictures they will give you a good idea of the condition of the collection thank you
