Description: This is a Revolutionary War 4 Dollar Bill It was issued by the Continental Congress as Continental Currency SN 83357 minted November 29 1775. Philadelphia is where every that is relevant took place that year. It was where the constitution was drafted and were most of the founding fathers lived. If I had to grade it, for being 249 years old. I looked at all of the PMG 60-65 and put this one against any of them. It has no tears or pinholes. The edges are sharp. The writing, signatures and picture is sharp. I bought it 25 years ago and it has been sitting in my vault every since in a hard acid free casing! The picture is of a Wild Boar Running into a Spear with the Latin: “AUS MORS AUT VITA DECOARA” which means"Either Death or an Honorable Life" It is signed by Frederick Kuhl and Anthony Morris Jr. The note printed in 1775 and circulated until 1883. Frederick Kuhl: (Member of the Constitutional Convention 1776 ) During the American Revolution, Frederick Kuhl was listed in 1775 as a member of the Board of Managers at Carpenters’ Hall and of the Committee of Inspection. In 1776 he was a member of Philadelphia’s Committee of Safety and of the Constitutional Convention. (See picture of his bio). Anthony Morris Jr.: A major in the Revolutionary War. Died in 1776. (See picture of his bio).
