Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to part with some of my collection. The Airbus A400M is a modern cargo plane, designed for versatility, capacity and economy. Four efficient 8-bladed turboprops can move large loads over great distances. The prototype aircraft were nicknamed Grizzly and the production planes are called Atlas. The fuselage and wing shape reminds me of the C-141s my father flew on for so many years, only a little fatter. Revell created their enormous 1/72 A400M “Grizzly” back in 2011 and has improved on that release with a stunning set of decals for Spanish Air Force and British Royal Air Force aircraft. With earlier releases, this completes the list of major operators of this aircraft. I found about two dozen listings for this kit on eBay (mostly from Europe), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this very quickly. Here is some of the info I found from around the web about this humongous kit: The revell.de site has a wonderful page for this modern kit that shows the superior box art and photos of an immaculately finished model. They provide quite a bit of information about the kit, some of which I have shown below: The Airbus A400M Atlas is a military transport aircraft developed by the European Defense Agency and used by the Royal Air Force and other air forces since 2013. The A400M is a so-called "multi-role aircraft" and can be used as both a transport and a tanker aircraft. The aircraft has a maximum payload of 37 tons and a range of 3,300 km. This detailed model of the modern A400M cargo and transport aircraft with a length of 644 mm and a wingspan of 590 mm offers a special modeling experience. With 212 individual parts and an authentic depiction of the Spanish Air Force and the British Royal Air Force, this model is a must-have for collectors and fans. The enclosed decals give the model the finishing touch. · Fuselage with recessed sheet metal joints· Detailed cockpit with seats and instrument panel· Cargo compartment with textured floor· Detailed main landing gear area· 2 propeller versions to choose from: flight position or rest position· Rear ramp optionally open or closed· Authentic decals for Spanish Air Force and British Royal Air Force Scalemates.com shows that this is a 2022 release based on a new tooling from 2011. They have a link to download the complete full-color 24-page instruction set and painting guide. They also provide links to reviews, aftermarket parts and references. BK prepared a concise In-Box Review on the German-language ipmsdeutschland.de site that shows eleven large photos of the sprues and decals. He points out the many delightful display options and the thoroughness of the instructions. His translated Conclusion was: “Due to the size alone, it should not be a very easy kit. As long as this is not a problem in the home of the advanced modeler, nothing should stand in the way of building a beautiful model. The stencil template for the application of clear varnish on the top is an extremely useful and monetary addition.” Mike posted a fantastic In-Box Review on the britmodeller.com forum site. You get over a dozen large and high-resolution photos giving us a great view of the detail on the parts. After an engrossing background of the plane, he goes into detail about the construction sequence and the nifty features of the kit. He loved the large size of the model and his Conclusion was: “A welcome re-release of this huge aircraft now that suitable time has elapsed and the type has been out in the wild and had time to get used. It’s a nice kit, and if you’re interested, the only real question will be ‘do I have the space?’, but when has that ever stopped us? Highly recommended.” Klaus Rick released his In-Box Review on the German-language modellversium.de site. You get about a dozen high-resolution photos of the parts, along with the entire Instruction set. He loved options for open/closed ramp and running/feathered props and his translated Result starts with: “An impressively large model in clean manufacturing quality, which will bring a fast, neat model building result.” Plastic Art created a short (8-minute) Unboxing Video on YouTube that shows the impressive size of the box and kit. The first half is narrated with a Russian(?) accent and the rest is a photo montage of the parts, instructions and decals set to music. This kit is in a large, gorgeous box about 23.5” x 16.5” x 4.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is in great condition and still sealed with six large tape disks, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded kit with over 200 grey and clear plastic parts and a massive decal sheet designed by AirDOC/House of Phantoms and printed in Italy (reportedly by Zanchetti). I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays winning bid and for a limited time, this large, heavy kit is offered with $18 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
