Description: 15pc Antique Ohme Silesia Old Ivory XVI Porcelain Chocolate Pot Cup Saucer Set Click images to enlarge Description DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful antique chocolate pot set by the porcelain company Hermann Ohme of Silesia, Germany. This set is done in their "Old Ivory" matte finish, and features detailed brown roses and green leaves, along with dark brown art nouveau borders and gilt accents. The ornate handles have similar brown details. The serving pieces and cups sit on scroll-foot bases. This set includes: 1 Chocolate Pot with Lid (appx. 9.5" in height including lid, 7-1/8" in across including spout and handle, base measures 3.5" in across). Marked "Old Ivory XVI" in red, "L 11" in brown and "Silesia Clarion" in blue. 1 Covered Sugar Bowl with two handles and lid. (5" in height including lid, 5.25" in across including handles at widest point, base measures 2.75" in across). Marked "Old Ivory 16" in red, "Silesia" in blue, "OHME Silesia" in green with red and "H 29" in brown. 1 cream pitcher (4.25" in height, appx. 4" in across including spout and handle, base measures 2" in across). Marked "Old Ivory 16" in red, "Silesia" in blue, and "H 29" in brown. 6 Handled Chocolate Cups (3" in height, 3" in across including handle, 2-3/8" in across top without handles, base measures just over 1.5" in across). Marked "Silesia" in blue. Some have additional numbers in brown. One also says "Clarion" in blue. Slight height and diameter variances are present between these pieces due to different production batches. 6 saucers (appx. 4.75" in across, .75" in height). Marked "Old Ivory 16" in red, "Silesia" in blue, and various numbers in brown. Slight height and diameter variances may be present between these pieces due to different production batches. CONDITION: Set presents beautifully, with minimal crazing and no chips or cracks found. Mild loss of gilding is present; some cups have spots where gilding is lost on the rims, but the edge is still smooth (in other words, these are not chips). Loss of paint/detail may be present in places, but no major losses have been noted. Some pieces have minute transfers of color in places. One saucer has a faint spider hairline.
