1/35 Metal German 75mm Pak 41 Anti-Tank Gun Modelkasten #G-2 Factory Sealed MISB

Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to part with some of my collection. Modelkasten is known for their excellent line of premium metal track links. They took their expertise in white metal casting and created this all-metal 75mm Pak 41 Anti-Tank Gun. This was a pretty advanced weapon, using a tungsten-core round that travelled down and compressed along the tapered barrel using the Gerlich Principle. As the barrel narrowed from 75mm to 55mm, the round accelerated to higher muzzle velocity of around 1200 meters/sec. The shortage of tungsten was one of the reasons this gun was only produced for a few years with only 150 built. I could not find any listings for this kit on eBay (rare and hard-to-find!), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this period product very quickly. Here is some of the info I found from around the web about this scarce and uncommon kit: The modelkasten.com site has a page for this kit with the box art and photos of the parts laid out and assembled. It has the following information about the kit: The White Metal 1/35 Pak41 "Gerlich Gun" metal kit was produced by covering the real thing stored in the Aberdeen Open Air Tank Museum in the United States and was the only kit in the world that was released from Model Kasten, but it was out of stock for a long time after it was sold out. In this limited resale (500 pieces), some of the metal parts have been improved, it is easier to assemble, and the package has been changed to a commentary illustration by Mr. Morinaghayo. Scalemates.com has a listing that shows this is a new tool from 1994 and shows the original box art. The page has links to related references but has very little information about this kit. This kit is in a small box about 6.5” x 4” x 1.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with the original tape strip, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready.
