Description: This is an Antique Cut Glass Vase. This is a great rare pattern on a quality shape blank. The pattern and cutting house is unknown, as it is a very rare geometric pattern. You may recognize this shape from the "Calumet" vase by Bergen, or the "Iris" & "Camelia" vases by Clark. I have always felt like Clark or Monroe might be a candidate for the cutting house due to the style of the pattern. The top area has 3 large Hobstars with a cane field in between them. Then the neck area is a spiral of wide channels and zipper notching. The lower portion again with large hobstars and flashed fans decorate the flared base. Top it off with a large hobstar cut bottom instead of a rayed star on the thick wafer base. This one was not cheap, definitely cut by a better company. This is 12" tall by 5" wide top rim & 5" wide base. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1920).Condition: this is pre-owned and 100 years old. This displays beautifully but it does have a thin sliver chip off the outside near the rim on one tooth- it did not remove the tooth, just took a fingernail size sliver from the outside surface. See pictures. As expected from age, it does have age scratches around the bottom if you search for them which is typical patina. There is also a minor imperfection on the inside of the vase near the top that feels like a wavy line (not a crack if you see it in the photos)....................... *No Returns/Refunds Policy*...Please Note that we do not accept returns or refunds.
