I toss them in a box and when the box is full, I list them all in what I thought would be an annual event (similar to the event I have during the holidays when I list all the designer hankies Ive amassed that year)- well, it took about 3-4 years to fill the box! They are all to be considered “Hankies from the Wild”— straight from Estate to auction- as found, literally, except I did press them so you can see the designs. There are some really neat designs in this bunch—and there’s a lot of them! Most date from 1930s-40’s with a few older and younger. They also run between 6”-8” square. Ive shown the ruler to give measurement. Mostly linen & cotton. Some with hand finished edges. Condition: As Found. Some with pinholes, moth holes, dingy centers from being loved so much, spots etc. Im going to let the pictures tell the story- so look at them carefully. Ive assigned a reasonable starting price to reflect this. No offers will be considered so we can keep the fun of an auction. Im also going to let the pictures show the measurements. Some have been stored in sheds, attics, barns or garage rafters. I don't always know if previous owner smoked or had pets.
