Description: 10 inch Photo/Video Frame, Autoplays AVI, MP4 Videos A digital photo frame is a great way to showcase your photos, but this one is much more than just a digital photoframe. After searching hard for a method of implementing a video screen onto one of our own product displays, this was by far the best option. We had considered some tablets with comparable resolution and price, but there no easy way to have them autoplay video without human interaction. The next best 10" video frame we could find that also played video ran a screen that was too dark and horrible viewing angle. This one is by far the most cost effective Video playing screen available. A picture may be a thousand words, but a video is a thousand pictures. The frame itself has no built in memory, and requires an SD card or USB Drive for storage. An SD card is NOT included.The manual recommends 16gb or less, in FAT32 format, but from personal experience, SD Cards over 16gb (32gb, 64gb) must be formatted as exFAT. Though a 1 hour video should fit on a 2gb card. One quirky thing to be aware of for video content preparation, is that the screen resolution is greater than the maximum video file resolution. The the screen's native resolution is 1024x600, however the 'recommended' video file resolution is 720x480. The smaller file will stretch to the larger resolution, despite the different aspect ratios, which means videos will appear 1.138 times wider than proportionally accurate. The best way to fix this, is start with a 820*480 resolution project, and shrink it to 720*480 before output. From experimentation, the largest resolution video the frame will accept is 720*576. The video formats accepted are MPEG1, MPEG2 and DIVX, and the files should end in .AVI or .MP4. The maximum bitrate that we've been able to consistently operate with is 2500kbps, and the screen outputs a maximum of 30 frames per second. The photoframe has a bunch of other options, such as autoplaying photos, music, and even an alarm clock. Most of the photos are of ones that we have opened and used.
