10 Christmas Albums - 10" 78 RPM - Arthur Godfrey C-348, Gene Autry, Mario Lanza

Description: This listing is for a collection of ten shellac, 10 inch, 78 RPM record albums featuring Arthur Godfrey, Gene Autry and Mario Lorenza, with numerous guests such as Janette Davis, Julius La Rosa, Lu Ann Simms, Frank Parker, Marion Marlowe, The McGuire Sisters, and The Pinafores. This collection includes the complete "Christmas with Arthur Godfrey" (C-348) four record box album set with no issues, four standalone albums by Gene Autry, one Peter Pan Records "'Twas the Night Before Christmas - A Fully Orchestrated Recording" album, and one album from a set by Mario Lanza (apparently the other albums in the set are missing). A list of all ten albums with the tracks on both sides is provided below. NOTE: Some of the original paper album sleeves are in decent condition. However, a few are in in poor condition, and one is complete separated on the side. ADDITIONAL NOTE #1: Although the scratch on the "B" side of the "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" (Peter Pan Records 2333) album looks significant, a close examination appears to suggest that it may be relatively superficial. In other words, in my opinion it looks worse in the photo than it actually is in regard to the surface of the shellac. That said, I have no idea to what extent it will affect the sound quality. ADDITIONAL NOTE #2: In regard to the Mario Lanza album (RCA Victor 10-3639), this appears to be the first album (sides 1 and 8) of the four album "Mario Lanza Sings Christmas Songs" (DM-1649) set. The album folder and the other three albums are not included because they are not present in the collection of records I inherited. I inherited a large collection of vintage record albums that appear to have been reasonably well taken care of back when they were being played. Some have clearly been played more than others. The records were stored in a basement for a long time, and I do not have the time or equipment to test them. I have made a good faith best effort to provide quality photos of both the A and B sides using the only camera I have, which is a five year old smartphone. Aside from the scratch on Peter Pan Records 2333, I did not observe any cracks or other chips while I was photographing the records in this set.
